Paul Dickow aka Strategy returns to Idle Hands after his 2013 12” Return From The Stars. The producer, DJ and Community Library label boss from Portland, Oregon, has been steadily active over the last few years, releasing on labels such as Boomarm Nation, ZamZam Sounds, 100% Silk and Peak Oil. Seeds Of Paradise brings to the Bristol-based label some fine dubby, spaced-out dancefloor productions with its distorted keys and slow-groove drum rhythms. ‘Blackberry’s Dream’ hears some tribal drumming and chanting vocals over some dreamy rainforest samples, whilst ‘Virtual America’ brings dubby beats with a woozy distorted backdrop reminiscent of the work of Leyland Kirby or perhaps a slightly more chilled Oneohtrix Point Never. A smoky, mutated release with after-hours club vibes.
