Daniele Baldelli’s Cosmic Drag is arguably the legendary DJ’s most well-realised studio LP. Much of the record has a cosmic disco flavour to it - it is Baldelli, after all - but the real triumph of this album is the way the Italian producer brings other styles into play. ‘Chop And Roll’, for instance, is a slo-mo strut that would fare well on Italians Do It Better, while the beat on ‘Pinging’ has a bit of a 100-bpm Braindance vibe to it. Unsurprisingly, everything here will sound absolutely killer in the club.
