Since Batu and Donato Dozzy linked in 2019, Exhale is a collaboration that’s been waiting to happen. Like the patient acid thud of ‘Spiral’, they bode their time, two grandmasters honing their chess moves till everything culminated in 2025 studio sessions where the physical sounds of analogue and digital practices collided. The duo’s complex sonic fusion drips and trickles throughout each track, morphing through slowburn rhythms and moods with slippery tumbling hand drum cycles, deep sub bass hums, corkscrewing details, and mesmerising synth modulations that arpeggiate into infinity.
