Genres
By the time Kruder & Dorfmeister made their milestone entry into !K7’s DJ-Kicks series, they only had their G-Stoned EP to their name. The remixes that would later form the legendary K&D Sessions had made them dancefloor superstars, and perfect fits for a DJ-Kicks mix that is smoky, smooth, and oozes style. Amid murmuring bass, chunky drums, and their own woozy productions are the speeding split second drum and bass beats of Tango’s ‘Spellbound’ luxuriating in jazzy Rhodes and vibes, the pulsating flamenco rhythm of Sapien’s ‘Que Dolor’, and mambo piano arrangement lit on fire by the lasering acid synths of Showroom Recordings’ ‘Radio Burning Chrome’.
