Before seminal British ethnic electronica creative Bryn Jones died in 1999, he recorded a number of tracks live to cassette but never had the chance to fully mix and refine them. Due to this misfortune, this release feels truly singular in the Muslimgauze catalogue. Sampled conversations spanning gender, language and tone rattle through the downbeat instrumentals to create a sound that is both raw and cinematic. Ranging from 8 minute epics like the opener to short 60-second vignettes of sound, this release is noticeably uncut and perfectly captures the settings Jones was inspired by.
