From the people behind Nouvelle Vague comes a new project entitled Bristol. This time taking the West-Country trip-hop scene as their inspiration. The lead single created a hybrid of sounds from Bristol and the surrounding area with a trip-hop inspired cover of Portishead’s Roads. Overcome brings through a similarly tripped out production style to a cinematic and dramatic melody. As a celebration of the Bristolian trip hop vibrations that continue today, this release is a well executed and hypnotic salute.
