Tight Knit Records present some first class remix work for Oxford producer Groovestreet’s excellent debut EP Structures. Gobstopper, Tuff Wax and Different Circles affiliate Strict Face pens with his atmospheric reinterpretation of ‘Altars’, sustaining the bass for some extra weight. ‘Ground Zero’ appears with two new liveries - rising Berlin artist M.E.S.H. (PAN, Janus, Black Ocean) pulls the anchor and bathes the sharp percussion of the original in a trippy haze, whereas DJ and producer Byrell the Great from the Ballroom scene in New York City delivers infectious rhythms closer to the source material. Morcee and 199? — the Tight Knit bosses themselves set their hands to ‘Intrusions’, condensing the more spacious original with chopped up vocals and really bringing out the police whistle element.
