Strut Records presents a the next instalment of its enormously successful Next Stop Soweto series, volume four. Compiled through diligent and careful selection, the collection accurately captures the rich and vibrant music scene in South Africa’s Soweto district in the time of Apartheid. Volume four is a testimony to the triumphant spirit of the many South African artists from the 1970s and ’80s, highlighting a period where there were parallel difficulties in the area, despite a burgeoning music scene.
