Born in Kochi, Japan, the young Kyoto residing producer Kazumichi Komatsu aka Madegg offers up a new release M/D/G. Mastered by Miles Whittaker of Demdike Stare, the release sets up some extra special, bass heavy tracks over run with multi-layered pops, snaps and house-esque vocals. The first track ‘?????’ raises excitement levels with a steady marching rhythm and rolling bassline whilst ‘Francis’ pulls out a beat consisting of low drum and bass rumbles, circular gasps for breath and videogame-esque rhythms. ‘Wah Fruits’ pushes the house-vibe whilst ‘Scum From Social Design’ hardens the selection with techno laden 4/4 beats. A multifaceted release coming from the Frankfurt based techno label.
