UK collaboration imprint Brothers drops its seventh release with a full blowout of no less than six of techno’s heaviest hitters knocking heads. Randomer and Pennyroyal man J Tijn father the mechanical dirge of ‘Exit 7’, which is hotly pursued by Shawn O’Sullivan and Nico’s (Hound Scales) lethal overdriven clatter on ‘Cadillac Dog’. On the other side, Milo Smee and Japanese producer Hironori Takeshi’s joint electro-tinged effort ‘Brown Kijin’ is a little easier on the ears, whilst Shawn O’Sullivan and Nico’s partnership proves so fruitful they’re even able to spew out another serving of torrid, militant machine funk on ‘Torrid Affair VIP’.
