Returning after 2014’s heavyweight Magneto 12”, Kenzo comes through once again for Tempa with a slew of tracks which maintain the DIY ethos of archetypal dubstep but avoid sounding at all like pastiche pieces. The title track features the unsettling baritone vocals of Ghost crew member Juiceman for a full UK bass workout. The mood gets even more sinister on Expansion where the sub-bass rattles and the omened nature of this genre manifests itself in force. By honouring the blueprints the genre with a true creative flair, J:Kenzo cements his status as a bass luminary.
