DJ Sprinkles revisits that killer collab 12" with SND's Mark Fell from a few weeks back with his 'alt.mixes', presenting more deep house for the heads. As its predecessors, the EP arrives on Sprinkles’ own Comatonse label and delivers its message using the voice of a politician. After sampling trade unionist Arthur Scargill on their previous 12" ‘Fresh Spiral’, ‘Fresh Insights’ featured Labour official Tony Benn – he’s again starring on these alternative mixes. The A side abandons the original’s pointed percussion and cranks up the low-frequencies, and on the clap-driven ‘Fresh’, the NYC-via-Tokyo producer goes for an equally saturated synth aesthetic.
