Genres

Sublime Frequencies continue their output of field recordings with this collection recorded between December 1999 and March 2000 in Tanzania, chronicling the songs and dances of the Hadza, Datoga, and Makonde people. Some of these recordings are born out of sacred practise, other chapters are unabashed human celebrations. The LP Includes striking photographs by James Stephenson and detailed liner notes by Laurent Jeanneau. From the glimpses of sanctified ceremony to the flashes of more tribal festivities, the compilation is an authentic portrayal of the sounds of East Africa.
