Shanghai-based producer Tzusing checks back into L.I.E.S with the second part to his A Name Out Of Place EP series. In the same vein as his murky debut, Sing continues to reference early 80’s EBM and industrial themes, updated for today’s basement contingent. A dingy mid-tempo throb opens the EP on ‘4 Floors of Whores’ with its hard industrial drums beefing out the mid-section, whilst ‘Frankencense And Myrrh’ cleverly fuses an ear-piercing, doom-laden synth chord to retro breakbeat drum fills. On the flipside, ‘Khi-Tang’ offloads a torrent of charred mechanical waste and ominous bells whereas the toughest moment is saved ‘till last on ‘O.D.D’ with a battery of over-driven hammer blows.
