Outstanding percussion house cuts from Tia Maria Producoes for Principe, wearing its heart on its sleeve 'Tá Tipo Já Não Vamos Morrer' (roughly translated means It's Like We Won't Die Anymore) is a heartfelt rendition of mesmerizing house-rooted music. Opener '7 Maravilhas (Damas Da Cor Do Pecado)' starts off with skittering bells over a solid snare groove and teary-eyed pads floating throughout while 'O Tempo Da Vida' recalls the current wave of grime coming out of London and beyond with its sparse arrangements and shuffling soca-rooted flow. 'Hino Da Noite' nods back to the opener with the second part in its eyes-down flow and its dubbed FX. All in all a beautifully produced release that will be on heavy rotation around here for years to come.
