Released in tandem with a set of three long players under his Variant moniker, Stephen Hitchell maintains his creative momentum with the release of Infinati for dub-techno label Echospace[Detroit], this time under the guise of Phase90. In keeping with his other recent releases, Infinitati is a collection of minimal ambient dub and techno, in which reverb and white noise are treated as essential elements of the instrumentation, wrapping the woozy narcotic rhythms in swathes of breathy atmospherics.
