Free School released their debut LP back in 2011 and Hudson’s Whistle is a taste of what is to come from the Birmingham nu-disco voyagers. The title track is a euphoric electronica anthem with climactic synth arpeggios built for a universal audience. It is followed up by a Maps remix of French Cousins where the sleazy Studio 54 disco vibes are taken to even steamier climates with refrains like “I’ve been dancing on your outskirts” bouncing off of a floor-rattling production.
