In a monolithic collaborative multimedia project, Rafael Anton Irisarri explores the contradictions we encounter in our hypermediated digital landscapes, and asks us to slow down from the sheer speed of those interactions too. Points of Inaccessibility fixates on distance, drawing and resolving tension, with Jaco Schilp, Daniel Castrejón, and Abul Mogard aiding in the album’s evocative process. Gentle breaths of strings lightly bob in the pensive sea, coalescing in wistful, breathtaking harmonies amid the cathartic crush of overdriven bowed guitar drones. The tracklist builds pressure and rebuilds tenderness after the storm, swelling with glorious vocals from Karen Vogt before surrendering and floating out on reedy waves.
