Making the 30th instalment of the series, alt-pop heavyweights Friendly Fires took on crate-digging duties for the prolific Late Night Tales series. Opening with a patch of decidedly upbeat vibes, the outfit rattle through cuts from Junior Boys, Bibio and even fellow millennial superstar SBTRKT. The band then take matters in to their own hands and shift the mood with a cover of Eberhard Schoener and Sting’s 1978 cut Why Don’t You Answer. Benedict Cumberbatch then tucks you in as the mix comes to a close. Another chapter of true variety for Late Night Tales.
