Central Processing Unit keep the binary code ticking over with this latest release from exuberant Japanese genre-jumper Missqulater. ‘Tempest’ kicks off with an infectious breakbeat tied up in mind-melting analogue synth mischief, before title track ‘They Rave Us’ takes the madness up a notch with a wide-eyed homage to early-nineties acid house. ‘Everything I Know In The Streets’ takes the pneumatic drill breaks of IDM pioneers like Squarepusher and u-Ziq and paints them with a gaudy, contemporary maximalist sheen, while closer ‘Bruva Gonna Take You There’ is a shameless, adrenalin fuelled acid rave freak-out.
