As part of the Yamaguchi Center For Arts And Media’s 10th birthday in 2013, Japanese experimentalist Ryuichi Sakamoto, Tokoyo-based duo Illuha and 12k label boss Taylor Deupree put together this performance. This unique meeting of the minds was wholly improvised and consisted of guitars, synthesisers and organs all pieced together to represent the “eternal and ageless quality” of music. Divided into 3 stunning chapters, Perpetual is an ambient masterpiece where unique minds find harmony and order without language or forethought.
