The focus for this duo is drumming. By using the drums as a centrepiece, they have managed to craft a sound on this release which incorporates influences from punk, techno, tribal music and even flashes of batacuda samba. The two 8-minute opuses brought forward are thrillingly unrelenting. Almost mantra-inducing in their unremitting primal energy, Ninos Du Brasil exercise a form of musicianship that is intricate in it’s intensity. While the sheer level of sound could point to some kind of chaos- these are two carefully composed tracks where the pounding drums take centre stage.
