Ninja Tune announce the signing of California's Seven Davis Jr, and to kick it off they are releasing Wild Hearts 12", with his debut album to follow later in the year. With efforts for Kutmah’s IZWID imprint, Must Have Records, Classic, Ten Thousand Yen (alongside Doc Daneeka) and Funkineven’s Apron Records, it seems like the producer has gotten mixed up with the right accomplices: we can feel the power of LA’s leftfield experimental scene in this forward-thinking collage of uptempo grooves, unkempt percussion, otherworldly synths and alienated soul vocals.
