Whenever a label as trusted as Astral Black bring a new force to the fore, it’s super exciting. Dressin Red is no exception to this rule, Head/Body might be one of the Glasgow based producer’s first official offerings but his earlier cuts have caught the attention of imprints like Donkey Pinch and LuckyMe. When you hear the bass-heavy undercurrent on North Edge and the multi-layered build of Ruff, the depth of Dressin Red’s textural and musical sound palette is hypnotic and intriguing in equal parts. The EP was crafted from everything; chopped R&B vocal samples, recorded instrumentation and even flashes of the producer’s own voice and the result is an electronic genre-cocktail showcasing the abilities of an extremely promising producer.
