The latest release from Berlin’s creative collective Project: Mooncircle comes via India-based producer Monsoonsiren, who makes his debut on the imprint with the heavily melancholic Falstrati EP. Drawing inspiration from the beautiful sadness found in Dostoyevsky’s literature and the transient memories expressed in the classic film Sans Soleil, Monsoonsiren’s sparse, downbeat constructions express a deeply personal mourning. Shifting from the fragile vocals of ‘Glasstables’, to the pensive detuned melodies of ‘Geisha’, through to the lucid groove of closer ‘Sullen Fables’, the Falstrati EP is the perfect accompaniment to times of reflection.
