Philadelphia’s Paul J. Geissinger, known for his releases as Starkey on high class outlets such as Ninja Tune, Planet Mu and Keysound, launches his new experimental label Noremixes: This debut from mysterious producer Golden Ratio Syrup establishes the mood for the imprint which sets out to be a platform for non-club electronic music with influences from ambient and modern classical. Rumoured to be a well known artist operating under a new alias, Golden Ratio Syrup creates elusive sound journeys, incorporating choral vocals and field recordings. Piano based works on the verge of a song structure (‘Bay Windows’, ‘Dead Gnossieme’, ‘Velvet Rope’) unfold into more epic synth tales such as the grande ‘A Screaming Across The Sky’.
