Al’ Tourettes continues to strengthen his relationship with Fabric’s Houndstooth imprint under his Second Storey alias with his forth release for the label backed by a pair of stunning remixes. Up first, ‘One Sound’ has been plucked from the debut LP Double Divide and is a mechanical configuration of industrial bass judders and frazzled detailing with acute electro touches, whereas new cut ‘Layer Lock’ is much tighter with its intricate micro detailing and lustrous synth wind. Meanwhile on the flip, veteran Luke Vibert offers a typically skewed interpretation of ‘One Sound’ equip with some ingenious sampling whilst Christian Vogal gets inside ‘Layer Lock’ with his rhythmically shifting, brittle take that sounds like the inside of the Large Hadron Collider.
