Another excellent full-length entitled Irreal from Chicago outfit Disappears. As with its predecessor, Irreal was recorded with esteemed producer John Congleton at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio studio. 'Mist Rites' fuses playful melodies with dark guitar signatures, whilst 'Halcyon Days' combines fractured guitar sounds with a prevalent backbeat. From beginning to end, the album is shaded with undertones of fear, making it an exceedingly intriguing journey.
