Having made friends with fellow New York-based experimentalist Nicolas Jaar, Solpara (aka Paul Sara) has prepped this EP for Jaar’s Other People outlet. Swing is a masterclass in the subtleties that can be found within familiar house and techno blueprints. The title track especially is a fluid composition where pad-based melodies exist in a submerged pool of fuzzy production. Closer Seahorses is another highlight- an ambient symphony where digital soundscapes break through the ether for a delicate and hypnotic piece of music.
