LA Club Resource man Delroy Edwards rests his brutal DJ Punisher alias for a three-piece collection of out and out party starters on the Can U Get With EP coming via his Gene’s Liquor store-cum-label venture. The title cut rolls out a sickly sweet pitched up vocal and funked-out melodies set against grainy, nostalgic drum backing set into a Head High mould. ‘Always (Edit)’ reappropriates the Stealing Void classic, with the heavy tape distortion and classic piano stabs as powerful as ever whilst the final ‘Untitled’ cut is a loopy arrangement that sounds like a lounge-style St Germain cut sped up and injected with steroids.
