Shostakovich’s 5th Played Backwards In A Concrete Silo is a flash of a debut album at just 20ish minutes, but with its push and pull between speeding BPMs and transcendent vortexes of sonic texture, it’s a flash that produces a potent afterimage. These buffeted shimmering harmonics are like a joyride in a dream, blasted with breakcore and lurking basslines.
