Between 1991 and 1994 Brooklyn’s Goldtones label was a force for underground US house in an era when the genre was widening and becoming more and more populist. Jovonn brought through a number of productions to their shelves and this retrospective compilation brings his hybrid of NYC deep house and groove-driven disco to life all over again.
