Stephan Laubner aka STL might be best known for his own imprint Something, but this offering for Echocord serves as a reminder of his talent as a producer. From the dub-infused house hybrid of Dub’s End to the ambient build of The Dark Future. These songs are carefully composed and masterfully executed. Dub’s End also gets techno-leaning makeover from Grad_U which serves as the release’s most floor-ready cut. Most importantly, the two original cuts from STL are understated masterpieces that showcase the eclectic ear of a label-head and the skill set of a producer.
