Avian boss Shifted comes home with two connected yet but separate releases, the two-part Arrangements in Monochrome EPs. The second continues in the vein set by its predecessor, with 'The Incoherent' opening slowly yet distinctly, its bass pads buried beneath hints of eerie sound. The second variation of the title track features swirling effects and direct bass lines, a whirlwind of noise surrounding both as it careens towards oblivion. 'Second Wash' is almost epic in scope, its arrangements cinematic and invigorating. 'Entartung' is a bare and sparse arrangement, percussion simple yet effective carrying it along, while 'Lénine' completes the movement an an unexpected slower realm, almost quietly beautiful in its approach.
