Samurai Horo, the sub-label of Geoff Presha’s Samurai Music, presents an album of experimental fare here, traversing the murkier world of deeper drum and bass and 170bpm electronica. Tokyo-based ENA has crafted a full-length - his third - that's both immersive and terrifying, delving deep into a nightmare sonics and explorations. Impossibly fast percussion work dances and flits around above bass lines that burrow lower than one thought possible. Syncopated stabs on any level jolt the listener in every direction, while echoey effects lend terror and intrigue.
