Shapednoise inaugurates Cosmo Rhythmatic, an abstract and experimental offshoot from REPITCH in collaboration with D.Carbone and Ascion. The label's first release is a wild and evocative release from French avant garde composer and improvisationalist Franck Vigroux. With three original tracks and one remix from the label head, it sees Vigroux immerse himself in dark noise. '2024' offsets rugged patterns and clamouring bass against searing riffs. 'Vesuve' is suitably monstrous, with its distorted throb and moments of blissful silence. The title track offers something akin to a straightforward rhythmic structure, yet is so dank it could never be accused of formula or familiarity. This track is given the remix treatment by Shapednoise, who fashions from its bones a murky electro-techno monster.
