Dallas-born and San-Francisco-based musician Joe Knight returns to LA’s prolific experimental pop label Not Not Fun with a psychedelic instrumental full-length. Tying in with the conceptual touch of his Krautrock and synth infused aesthetic, Reconsider Lounge features previously released material from his Scrap project as well as new material, all curved in a haze of reverb and hypnotising guitar riffs. The dreamy atmosphere of slower almost ballad like works such as ‘Perfume Headache’ extends to the organic flow of his jamming chords – yet the peculiar sound effects of ‘Spirited Discussion’ serve as a welcome reminder of the album being another exciting addition to the always astounding Not Not Fun catalogue.
