Tim Burgess's O Genesis presents a curio here in aid of Oxfam. Bestselling author Ian Rankin has written 'A Little Bit of Powder', a short story on the trials and tribulations of life in the music industry, and here it is read aloud by actor Craig Parkinson over gently lilting music by Burgess and Factory Floor's Nik Void. Also present are two songs built from that accompaniment, subtitled 'Twigs' and 'Gold Chains'. The bizarre pairing of Burgess's folksy guitar and Void's electronic prowess yields fine results, a thrilling counterpoint to the gentler A-side.
