Following this year’s Pandemonium EP on the label, Delroy Edwards’ L.A. Club Resource reissue two long out of print tracks from Chicago house monolith Gene Hunt. ‘Freddy’s Dead’ originally appeared on his 1999 Dustraxx album Gene Hunt Classic. The creepy voices and screams the veteran sampled from the Halloween classic ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ set the sinister atmosphere of the title track. The B-side takes us even further back in music history: Gene Hunt produced the dry-as-a-bone lo-fi stepper in the early 90s, but ‘Bong’ never saw an official release until now.
