Capping of their celebratory series on the South Yorkshire capital for smoggy techno, The Black Dog’s 4th instalment is a quick fire microcosm of Sheffield’s heritage in unrelenting club music. The opener, Cathedral Sex might appear like a typical pounding techno workout but as it reaches the 7 minute mark, the ceaseless nature of the city’s dance tropes play out in full force. The highlight comes in a live cut from Havelock Circle when it was dropped at Fabric, the palpable feeling of eyes-down fist pumping storms through the release.
