Glasgow-based Dixon Avenue Basement Jams unleash some more deadly raw house jams with Denis Sulta’s debut Sulta Selects Vol 1 EP. The energetic release is constructed from two parts machine driven rhythms offset with one part classic funk and soul samples that’ll be familiar to most with opener ‘A.A.S (Nite & Day Mix)’ layering a retro soul vocal over a pumping analogue base. Loopy romantics on ‘A.A.L.A.S’ set their sights on becoming a future classic whilst ‘Saturday Night’ puts a speed-driven Soundstream-styled spin on the Oliver Cheatham classic that’ll really get the blood flowing.
