Panorama bar resident and Dolly label head Steffi drops her second LP for Ostgut Ton, following up the well received 2011 Yours & Mine with Power Of Anonymity. Here, the veteran DJ uses her working knowledge of the dance floor in constructing 10 fully functional cuts, all tied together with a Detroit referencing, electro-leaning theme. Opener ‘Pip’ is a string-laden, richly melodic cut that casually unfolds over a crisp drum backing, whilst the warm dream-like textures of the title cut will work perfectly with the morning sun. ‘Bag Of Crystals’ represents the LP’s dramatic centerpiece with its chord flashes and spattering drums primed for peak time play whereas the Virginia and Dexter featuring ‘Treasure Seeking’ interestingly couples a soulful vocal to hasty, acid-tinged production.
