Groove Armada’s Tom Findlay rejoins Late Night Tales with a second compilation for the series. Following his 70/80s soulpop selection Music For Pleasure from 2012, Automatic Soul puts emphasis on 80s reminiscent R’n’B, and is a rather personal selection. Findlay cites many of the artists in this collection as influential for his own work: his mix highlights the blend of technology and soul, combining dry drum machines and sparkling synths with soulful human voices. Features works from artists such as Sugardaddy, Zapp, Fonda Rae and Sharon Brown.
