The Hague imprint BAKK drops their third release in a string of split EPs; this time around inviting Manuel Gonzales AKA MGUN and Don’t Be Afraid man Halvtrak to share the spoils. On the A-side, Detroit local MGUN doles out hefty bass thuds on ‘Diet Research’, with clanging, metallic percussion and synth swipes adding an icy feel. On the flip find the trippier ‘Imaginary Water’, where Finnish producer Halvtrak rolls out a tight machine groove with sharp hi-hats that cut like a surgeon’s knife.
