Dutch beat label Rwina Records welcome local Joeri Woudstra in their roster: as Torus, the Dutch producer crafts eerie synth textures with hazy vocal manipulations and deep bass work. On his Temples EP, previously released on London-based imprint / blog label Sonic Router, the recent Red Bull Music Academy graduate brings together exciting strands of electronic music from the past decade. His reverb-heavy productions bridge the haunting sound typically associated with a lot of the Triangle artists, the slower-burning beat sketching ideas of Clams Casino and the soul of contemporary R'n'B with the bass-focussed works associated with labels like Rwina - which makes it a perfect match for him.
