Belgian producer Locked Groove drops another big release on Scuba’s long-running Hotflush Recordings imprint with the Enigma EP. The title cut takes a direct aim at the ‘floor, setting out a hulking 4/4 groove equip with eerie strings that add to the sinister feel whereas the whip crack electro crunch of ‘Wandering In A Cave’ is darker still. Label head Scuba picks up remix duties of ‘Enigma’, upping the intensity with steroid-enhanced bass and a dramatic breakdown, whilst the additional ‘Dub’ and ‘Bonus Beats’ inclusions offer headier interpretations of the title track.
