The Editions Mego label brings a well-loved experimental classic to vinyl (in full at least) for the very first time with this reissue of Pita’s Get Out LP. Finding a cozy spot from which to draw misshapen, but emotionally stirring melodicism from industrial noise and digital manipulation, Pita carved a road all his own here in 1999. While the (mostly) numbered track titling offers little in plot, it does lend the project an almost scientific narrative, as if these were less tracks and more observations on the very limits one could reach with the tools of the day. This edition adds an informative, of the era live recording from Detroit that comes remastered by fellow traveller Jim O’Rourke as well.
