Aquarian Foundation and Mood Hut affiliate Hashman Deejay drops his hotter than hot debut long player on Future Times. Following his Tangerine EP earlier this year, the Vancouver producer, real name Tanner Matt, has been causing a stir with his warm and vibey house arrangements. His first full-length on the Washington DC label is a collection of these, and they get our heads nodding in a daze. Analogue-style synth and drum sounds dominate the trippy, spaced out undertaking: from the oscillating opener to the hip hop beat references of ‘Statues PF’ and the hypnotic ambiences of ‘Mercury’ and ‘Mozaic’: this stir sure wasn’t for nothing!
