The next installment of the well-established Fabric Live mix series comes via Manchester DJ and co-founder of the much loved Hoya:Hoya club night, Ryan Hunn aka Illum Sphere. As with the eclecticism that underpins their events, here Illum Sphere explores various faucets of electronic music both young and old without missing a beat. Kicking off with 80’s German synth experimentalists E.M.A.K, the mix breezes through grainy Lo-Fi sounds with appearances from TAPES and Diagonal’s Powell, retro minimal synth pieces from Musumeci and Swiss NDW group Grauzone, bringing us more up to date with cuts from NGLY and fellow Mancunians Demdike Stare. In addition to his own track ‘Bullet’, Hunn also gives a nod to the acid-tinged Nation regulars with inclusions from Charles Manier, James T. Cotton and 2AM/FM all providing moments of madness on this far reaching mix.
