Doc Daneeka and Seven Davis Jr team up for some unshakeably groovy house. In preparation for his debut solo album, the Doc has dropped this four-track EP on his own Ten Thousand Yen. 'What's It Gonna Be' blends muted synths with lustrous claps and Seven Davis Jr's multi-layered vocals, while a riff reminiscent of Jamie Principle's timeless 'Your Love' floats in the background. 'Together' is a vintage slice of disco-infused house, while 'Ghost Text' is a deep and emotive display of acid house. Seven Davis Jr returns for the slow and sultry 'I Promise', closing things out with hands-in-the-air affirmations of love.
